Vivid Air partner with international company for TB research in Africa.
With Vivid Air’s determination to enlarge it’s footprint into Africa, developments in TB and Aids research has sparked a growing relationship with NGO’s, Government bodies and International Peace keeping organizations. Vivid Air has been appointed as sole supplier and validator in 5 African countries with these organizations. Their footprint now extends to Sudan in the East with targets as far as Ghana in the West.
Massive university upgrade – Western Cape
On the 15th December 2009 Vivid Air was appointed by a consultant to supply 33 new fume cupboards, fans, carbon filters and ducting for a large university in Cape Town. This upgrade is for the polymer science building. The contract was awarded to Vivid Air due to Vivid Air’s experience in working with Universities in Durban, Pretoria and Johannesburg. Attention to detail was a major contributing point in awarding the contract.
Major filtration project in KwaZulu Natal paper mill
Vivid Air has been given the order to supply a major paper mill in KZN with a activated carbon filter for the removal of noxious gases. Ten tons of activated carbon was used in the project. According to Vivid Air engineers, the project was delivered timeously and they are confident in the filter's ability to remove 100% of the SO2 gases present.
Vivid Air steps up to provide unique flameproof enclosures for all their Zone 1 Laboratory equipment
All Zone 1 laboratories require flameproofing of electrical equipment, such as plug points, switches, fluorescent lighting and transformers. Vivid Air has recently upgraded to enable them to flameproof their fume cabinets to accommodate this new innovation.
